Research Interest
My research interests revolve around colloidal and interfacial phenomena. The current ongoing research is based on design and synthesis of novel nano-structured smart materials for their use in separations processes, biomedical devices and drug delivery applications. I am also interested in understanding and addressing the fundamental issues related to the origins of colloidal interactions between macromolecules and biomolecules, lipids, liquid crystal, etc. through the application of chemically tailored interfaces. A third area of interest is related to stimuli-responsive supramolecular polymer networks based nanostructures and microstructures, and their applications in biological sensing.
