About Dr. Milon Banik
Dr. Banik has almost 7 years teaching experience in MAKAUT and various other University and colleges. His prime research interest is to develop potential nano-based drug against multidrug resistant bacteria and to explore molecular mechanism against bacterial infection and cancer using traditional medicinal plants. He is also currently associated with the findings of Nano-toxicology on C. elegans system. He is also focusing on the mitochondrial transcriptional regulation mediated by different signalling pathways in mammalian cells.
Dr. Banik, did his Ph.D in Nanobiotechnolgy, from the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics from University of Kalyani in 2016. His doctoral research was to explore inorganic nanoparticles as an alternative for drug delivery in bacteria and cell line. He continued his post-Ph.D research in IIT, KGP and IICB, Kolkata in the field of mechanism of clonal expansion of mitochondria. His scientific outcome has been published in numerous reputed journals (12). He successfully guided numerous M.Sc and M.Tech students for their dissertation program and currently 3 PG are working under his guidance.
